As the days grow shorter and the air becomes crisp, it can only mean one thing—HarvestFest is just around the corner! This year, Downtown Billings is hosting the 20th Annual HarvestFest, and we at Rock Creek Coffee Roasters couldn’t be more excited. On Saturday, October 12th, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the streets below Skypoint will be filled with the sights, sounds, and flavors of autumn. If you’re looking for the best coffee in Billings, you’ll definitely want to stop by our booth for a warm cup of brew while you enjoy all the festivities.

What to Expect at HarvestFest

HarvestFest is truly one of the best fall events in Billings, Montana. It’s a day full of family fun, great local food, and live entertainment. With over 100 vendors participating, there will be a wide variety of arts and crafts, food stalls, baked goodies, fresh produce, and so much more to explore. And did we mention that it’s free to attend? Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this is a great opportunity to experience the vibrant community here in Downtown Billings.

At Rock Creek Coffee Roasters, we’re especially looking forward to being part of the action. We’ll be serving up our freshly brewed coffee, perfect for sipping while you stroll through the festival. Plus, we’ll have some of our fan-favorite roasts available for purchase, so you can take a piece of Billings home with you.

Family-Friendly Fun

HarvestFest has something for everyone, especially families. If you’re bringing the kids, be sure to stop by the Wise Wonders Science & Discovery Museum Kids Zone. This year, the Kids Zone is better than ever with a Halloween-themed jump house, a climbing wall, and free activities and crafts (while supplies last). It’s the perfect place for your little ones to burn off some energy while you enjoy the rest of the festival.

For those who enjoy a bit of creativity, don’t miss the Upcycled Scarecrow Competition hosted by the Yellowstone Valley Boys & Girls Ranch. This annual event showcases some truly imaginative scarecrows made from upcycled materials. Be sure to cast your vote for your favorite scarecrow and support this wonderful cause.

Live Entertainment at Skypoint

One of the highlights of HarvestFest is the live entertainment that takes place throughout the day at Skypoint. The lineup this year promises to be exciting and fun for all ages:

- 10:00 AM: Big Sky Chorus kicks things off with some beautiful harmonies.
- 11:00 AM: Dancers from Greater Heights School of Dance will put on an energetic performance.
- 12:00 PM: Magic City Montana Witch Dancers will bring a little magic to the stage.
- 3:00 PM: The winners of the TDS Fiber Painted Pumpkin Contest will be announced!

Don’t Miss the Oktoberfest Beer Garden

For the adults attending, the Montana Brewing Company’s Oktoberfest Beer Garden is a must-visit. Located on North Broadway, right in front of their restaurant, this beer garden will feature over 10 seasonal and pumpkin beers on tap. There’s nothing like enjoying a cold beer while soaking in the autumn atmosphere. Tables, chairs, and a cornhole setup will be available for a bit of extra fun.

One of the main attractions at the Beer Garden is the annual Stein Hoisting Contest. Taking place at noon, this contest is open to anyone 21 and older. If you think you have what it takes to hold a full stein of beer longer than anyone else, this is your chance to prove it. It’s a fun and spirited competition that draws quite the crowd every year.

Support Local Businesses and Nonprofits

HarvestFest is more than just a celebration of autumn; it’s also a fantastic opportunity to support local businesses and nonprofits in Billings. You’ll find plenty of local shops, artisans, and organizations showcasing their products and services throughout the festival. This includes the Billings Heights Lions Club, who will be hosting their Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser at the 29th Street Art Alley. Starting your day with pancakes and coffee from Rock Creek Coffee Roasters sounds like the perfect way to fuel up for a day of festivities!
