Alive After 5 Summer Concert Series Returns to Downtown Billings!

Summer in downtown Billings just got a whole lot livelier! The Alive After 5 Summer Concert Series is back for eight weeks of free outdoor concerts, bringing live music, community vibes, and warm Montana evenings together every Thursday from June 11 through July 30, 2026.

What is Alive After 5?

Every Thursday evening from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, downtown Billings transforms into an outdoor concert venue, with local bands performing at rotating venues throughout the district. This beloved tradition draws approximately 20,000 visitors each summer and has become one of the highlights of our community calendar.

Originally designed to keep downtown employees around after work, Alive After 5 has grown into a celebration that brings together residents from across Yellowstone County and offers visitors a fun way to experience the heart of Billings.

2026 Concert Line-Up

Here's where you can catch live music this summer:

  • June 11 – Holland and Kohl / Kenny Feidler at The Pub Station
  • June 18 – The Hellroaring at The Monte Bar
  • June 25 – Exit 53 at Hooligan's Sports Bar (Skypoint)
  • July 2 – Crazy Fool at Rainbow Bar (celebrating their 90th Anniversary!)
  • July 9 – Repeat Offenders at Montana Brewing Co. (Skypoint)
  • July 16 – Counting Coup at Last Chance Pub & Cider Mill
  • July 23 – Desperate Electric at Thirsty Street Brewing Co.
  • July 30 – Graveyard Spiral at Tiny's Tavern

Admission & Details

Admission is FREE! If you're 21+ and want to enjoy a beverage, wristbands are just $3. Want the VIP experience? For $10, you'll get access to the tented Western Security Bank VIP Area with tables, chairs, ice-cold water, and a prime view of the stage. VIP wristbands can be purchased online in advance or at the Downtown Billings office.

And here's some great news: FREE bottled water will be available all season long, thanks to the generosity of Seed of Life Labs!

While Rock Creek Coffee Roasters won't be open during the concerts, you'll likely spot us out in the crowd enjoying the music and community spirit right along with you! We love being part of downtown Billings, and events like Alive After 5 are what make this neighborhood so special.

Pro tip: Stop by Rock Creek Coffee earlier in the day to grab your favorite drink before heading to the concert. We're located right in the heart of downtown, making it easy to fuel up before the festivities begin!
