Reflecting on this milestone, it’s clear that the journey has been anything but easy. Building and sustaining a business over three decades takes relentless dedication, especially when faced with the ever-changing challenges of the market. But, here we are, and we couldn’t be more proud.

Nearly one-fifth of new businesses don't make it through their first year. By five years, almost half have closed their doors, and by ten years, a staggering two-thirds of businesses have failed. These statistics make it all the more rewarding that Rock Creek Coffee Roasters has not only survived but thrived, becoming a beloved staple in downtown Billings for many.

Since our founding, we’ve made it our mission to focus on quality above all else. When we opened our doors 20 years ago, we were one of the first coffee shops in town to roast our beans in-house. This early commitment to freshness and flavor set the tone for everything we’ve done since.

Our commitment to ethically and sustainably sourced coffee beans has remained the same since opening. What has evolved, however, is the depth of our relationships with the farmers and importers who provide those beans. As we’ve grown, those personal connections have only deepened.

Running a coffee shop for three decades takes more than passion—it requires resilience, strong community ties, and a commitment to quality that never wavers. As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we want to thank all of our loyal customers who have supported us through thick and thin.

We couldn’t have done it without you, and we look forward to serving you for many more years to come.
